Getting to Canoa

By bus: Take the bus to Bahia de Caraquez (Reina del camino, Quito - Bahia, 8 hours). Cross the strait with speedboat (all day 15 minutes) to San Vicente, and take the bus to Canoa (30 minutes).
By car: From Quito, the route is Santa Domingo, El Carmen, Pedernales, Canoa, 7 hours. The road from El Carmen to Pedernales is in bad shape. Alternative route is Santa Domingo, Chone, San Vicente, Canoa, 8 hours. The road from Chone to San Vicente is in bad shape.

Getting to Hotel La Vista:

To get to the hotel from the bus stop, walk down Xavier Santos street towards the beach. When you reach the beachfront, turn left a walk some 300 meters along the beachfront to the hotel.
To get to the hotel from the main street, turn at Moises Aray street towards the beach. When you reach the beachfront, turn right and walk 20 meters to the hotel.

ABOUT US

We are a Norwegian/Ecuadorian couple, who have always dreamed about living in a tropical and exotic place. Hotel La Vista is more than just a business, it's our dream to live and work with tourism in a tropical and relaxing environment.

He has broad traveling experience from back packing to all corners of the world in his youth, and has applied many of his ideas to the hotel. After many years working as an engineer in Norway, he decided to retire to a more relaxing life with his family in Ecuador. She has studied administration and tourism, has worked some time in USA and Argentina, and has applied methods from these countries combined with her knowledge of Ecuador to make the Hotel work.

VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for volunteers to work in different areas of the hotel. This is an opportunity for students of various areas of tourism, to earn real experience.
We need personnel in areas such as; reception, bar, restaurant, kitchen. Additionally we are looking for a nanny/au pair for our family.
